About Jemileh
Jemileh Nour is a Boston-area artist well-known for her beautiful and passionate performances and vibrant, technique-driven drum solos. Joyfully dancing in cultural events at home and in school, Jemileh was performing and competing by the time she was twelve. Skilled in many Latin and ethnic dances including Salsa, Merengue, Punta, Cumbia and Regeton, she began formal Belly Dance training in 2000 and has studied with two of New England's most renowned dancers Amira Jamal and Najmat. She has been performing in the Arabic, Turkish and Tribal Fusion traditions in New England for over six years and attends multiple workshops annually to keep her dancing honed and fresh. A Certified Fitness Trainer since 2004, Jemileh specializes in safe and effective teaching techniques for students of all fitness levels.
Jemileh dances
regularly at the Middle East Restaurant in Cambridge and conducts
several weekly
classes
in the Greater Boston and Central Massachusetts areas. She was a member of the
Bella-di troupe for many years, and the founding member of Tribal Storm, the unique Boston-based Tribal Fusion troupe that specialized in avant garde performances.Upcoming Performances
